Schedule

The FOOTMAD dance season runs October through June. Dances are held on the first and third Friday of each and every month during the season.

Dances start at 8:00 p.m. and end at 11:00 p.m.

Instructions in basics available starting at 7:30 p.m.


What to Expect

Contras, squares, and more.

Beginners welcome, Partner not required. Soft-soled shoes please! Casual dress.

All dances are preceded by instruction and a walk-through.

Perhaps you are asking yourself, "What is contra dance?" Your questions will be answered by a visit to one or more of the contra dances sites below.

First Presbyterian Church of Charleston

FOOTMAD dances are held in the Activities Building (First Floor) of the First Presbyterian Church of Charleston.

Kanawha United Presbyterian Church

FOOTMAD dances are held in the Gym of the Kanawha United Presbyterian Church.
