Annie Erbsen

Annie Erbsen grew up immersed in traditional music and dance. She has been teaching dance for the past 7 years around the U.S. and extensively in Europe. As a musician, she has played contra dances for about 5 years in several states – North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky – and one in Sweden! Her style is influenced by both new and old traditions in Irish, French Canadian, old-time, and gypsy music.

The Schrodinger Cats

The Schrodinger Cats from Lexington, KY, will be our Special Guest band for Saturday Night Contra Dance. They will also play at other dances as needed.

The Schrodinger Cats are:

Annie Erbsen on Fiddle
David Atcher on Mandolin
Richard King on Keyboard
Nathan Wilson on Bass

You may not have heard of the Cats and their high energy New England style Contra Dance music.  Schrodinger's Cats have recently been formed as a group.  All of them are seasoned musicians who have been playing Contra Dances for years.  You'll love their dynamic mix of new and old tunes ranging from klesmer sounding groovy tunes to Irish, French Canadian and more.
