Onsite

Tent camping

Ample space for tent camping on 1,100 park acres.

Car camping and RVs

Car camping and RVs are permitted. No hookups.

Cabins

Five assorted dorm-style cabins, some of them built of logs in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps, are sturdy, rainproof, and furnished with iron bunks. Some have built-in sanitary facilities, others are near bath houses.

Reservations are recommended, as there are only 148 bunks, total. See admissions/reservations for reservation form.

Cabin #1: has a total of 28 bunks on one floor, with an in-cabin private toilet boasting one throne, one sink with hot and cold running water, one shower also with hot and cold running water, and the luxury of a mirror! Plus, a mirror on the bunkroom wall!

Cabin #2: 16 bunks on the left, 4 in the middle, 14 on the right, and a bath with two showers and two sinks with hot and cold running water!

Cabin #4: Two levels! On the top level, 25 bunks with bright cloth mattress covers and matching curtains, handmade by the camp staff. Not recommended for families with children under 6 due to ramp and rail entry issues. On the lower level, 25 bunks. Short downhill path to the bathhouse fitted with five showers, six sinks with large, flattering mirror above them! Six thrones!

Cabin #5: On top level, 25 bunks; on lower level, 24 bunks. A lovely log cabin in the woods, worthy of Goldilocks and all her bruin friends and family.

Cabin #6: On the bottom level, 18 bunks; 14 bunks in The Penthouse.

The Dunglen and Alpine are across the lane from handicap access bathhouse, offering three toilets, three showers, plus—sink and flattering mirror! These cabins are closest to the recreation and dining halls.

What You Need for Cabin Comfort

Because of the configuration of these cabins and limited quantity of bunks, it is not possible to create sections exclusively for men, women, or families, unless you reserve a whole cabin floor. The cabins do not offer private sleeping quarters. Bring pillows, bed linens or sleeping bags, and sleeping attire appropriate for snoozing alongside new acquaintances as well as friends and family.
