Larry Bellorin is a Venezuelan legend of Música Llanera who has been seeking asylum in the United States for over 10 years. Joe Troop is a Grammy-nominated bluegrass musician from North Carolina. Together, they’ve created “Latingrass” — a fusion of traditional sounds from the Americas that explores heritage alongside stories of migration, social movements and friendship.

Drawing on an impressive variety of ethnic folk styles, this award-winning duo plays everything from lively Irish jigs and down-home American reels to hard-driving Klezmer frailachs and haunting Gypsy melodies, spicing the mix with the distinctive rhythms of Balkan dance music, the lush sounds of Scandinavian twin fiddling, and original compositions written in a traditional style.

FOOTMAD friends Doug Stalnaker, John Longwell and Will Carter accompany the sweet fiddle of Jenny Allinder. Formed in early 2026, Twisted Laurel brings together four longtime friends and accomplished musicians who have helped shape the Kanawha Valley’s string band tradition for decades. The group began performing regularly at Hagy’s Irish Pub in downtown Charleston and quickly earned attention for its energetic blend of Appalachian old-time music, lyrical melodies, and influences drawn from Irish and neo-traditional folk traditions.

The Hazel Project pays tribute to the music written or recorded by bluegrass pioneers and legendary musicians, Hazel Dickens and Alice Gerrard. The Hazel Project honors the legacy of Hazel Dickens and Alice Gerrard through authentic instrumentation and powerful vocal harmonies. The group dedicates their repertoire to the raw, socially conscious catalog of Hazel and Alice.
